It is an honor to announce that the Red Dirt Road Band will be playing at our Inaugural Service on August 17th at 3:00 PM. I got this info about the band from their webpage http://reddirtroadband.blogspot.com/
he members of the Red Dirt Road Band are first and foremost committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. We combine this committment with a love of music in order to share the Gospel with a lost and hurting world. We consider ourselves a fusion of country, southern rock, blues, and classic rock and our musical style resembles such artists as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers Band, and 38 Special. Please keep us in your prayers, check out our UPCOMING EVENTS page, and come out and see us when you can.

Red Dirt Road Band Celebrates Life Lived For Jesus Christ.
The members of The Red Dirt Road Band seek to glorify God by using the talents and skills He has given us. We also want to celebrate the life we have in Him and to show others the joy and excitement that comprises a life lived for Jesus. We always want to make our lives about Him and not about us. This means that, as we do our best to represent Him in all we do, we try to make sure that everyone knows that everything we are, everything we have, and everything we do, we owe to God.
Christian artists often wrestle with the tension between drawing attention to themselves and pointing their audience’s attention toward God. We want to do our best; present our best work as we exercise the gifts and talents God has blessed us with, but always point toward the reality of the Gospel. There is often a struggle (aided by the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the Devil, I’m sure) for the musician, artist, writer, etc. to allow pride to creep into his or her thinking. This is something that must be constantly guarded against (“pride comes before the fall” the Bible teaches).
Each member of the Red Dirt Road Band loves music (listening to it and playing it) and, through our music, we want to glorify God and share His love with people. We are aware that pride lurks very near and we must maintain a close, vibrant relationship with our Lord, being constantly led by the Spirit, so that we do not succumb to the lure of fame, fortune, or prestige.
We also try to live personal lives that glorify and honor God. We ask Him to search our hearts and reveal to us any sin or shortcomings that may exist there. We ask Him to cleanse us as we repent and rededicate ourselves to His service. We humbly ask Him to constantly remind us that our main reason for what we do is ministry; we are ministers of reconciliation, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that others may be forgiven of their sins and enter a life-giving relationship with God.
If you are in the area I ask that you come out and have a rockin good time at our Inaugural Service, Pastor Ron "Okie" Morrow
